Is Oil Prices free?
Yes. Prices across all four tabs, energy news and charts up to 1 year are free, with ads. No account is needed. Premium is an optional subscription for price alerts, home screen widgets and 5 and 10 years of chart history. It also removes ads.
How current are the prices?
Prices load when you open the app or pull down to refresh. Energy prices track the nearest futures contracts. Heating oil and gasoline quotes can lag by about 10 minutes. When markets are closed, the latest available prices are shown.
What chart history is available?
Energy charts offer 5 days, 1 month, 6 months and 1 year for free. Premium adds 5 and 10 years. Charts use daily historical data; intraday charts are not available.
Which prices support alerts and widgets?
With Premium, both cover WTI, Brent, natural gas, heating oil and RBOB gasoline. They do not cover metals, currencies or other commodities. Alerts usually arrive within 15 minutes, though battery saving can delay them. Each alert triggers once and can be enabled again. You can have up to 30 active alerts.
Which currencies and units are supported?
Energy prices are quoted in US dollars: oil per barrel, natural gas per MMBtu, and heating oil and gasoline per gallon. They cannot be converted to a local currency or liters. Precious metals offer 98 currencies and 12 weight units.
What devices are supported?
Oil Prices is currently available for phones running Android 8.0 or later. There is no iPhone version at this time.
Why is it called Crude Oil Price on Google Play?
It is the same app. Crude Oil Price is the Google Play listing name; after installation, it appears on your phone as Oil Prices.

Oil Prices provides market prices, charts and news for information only. It does not predict prices or recommend when to buy or sell.
